EPIC BOX
Epicure is a Canadian-based company that has been 100% gluten free for 25 years. They now offer an Epic Box monthly meal subscription service! Delivered to your doorstep with 7 meal solutions, 1 dessert, 1 surprise item, and 1 sample - 100% gluten free, nut free, egg free, and 85% of the line is dairy free/vegan! Meal plans, recipes, grocery shopping list, and FREE shipping included every month. I highly recommend the 12-month subscription - pay one month at a time, delivered the first week of each month, get a free gift at the 6-month mark and get the 12th month FREE! (If you don't love it, cancel anytime without obligation or penalty.) Everything is shelf-stable so you don't have to rush to use anything before it spoils, nothing to refrigerate or freeze, and you can customize with the meats, produce, and grains that your family prefers. 4-6 servings per meal solution, at less than $4/serving (including groceries!) Also makes a great gift idea for college students, newlyweds, single parents, busy families, first responders, elderly neighbors and family members, ... everyone on your list who eats! |

Now, as with everything, here's my disclaimer... no matter where you go and what you eat, SPEAK UP! Don't be afraid to ask questions! If you aren't sure your server knows what they are talking about, ask to speak to the chef. If something comes out that you're not sure about, ask about it! If they make a mistake, don't be afraid to send it back. But another part of my rule: Be NICE about it. This offers an opportunity to educate them, not assault them, but they need to know that it is VERY serious - that they can't mess up on something like a bunch of gluten-filled croutons all over your salad or a fried onion on top of your burger. I have gone back to places where I've been "glutened" to give them a second chance - maybe it was a new server or a really busy night... If somewhere is trying to support our community, I am willing to help, encourage, and support them.
