Now, as with everything, here's my disclaimer... no matter where you go and what you eat, SPEAK UP! Don't be afraid to ask questions! If you aren't sure your server knows what they are talking about, ask to speak to the chef. If something comes out that you're not sure about, ask about it! If they make a mistake, don't be afraid to send it back. But another part of my rule: Be NICE about it. This offers an opportunity to educate them, not assault them, but they need to know that it is VERY serious - that they can't mess up on something like a bunch of gluten-filled croutons all over your salad or a fried onion on top of your burger. I have gone back to places where I've been "glutened" to give them a second chance - maybe it was a new server or a really busy night... If a restaurant is trying to support our community, I am willing to help, encourage, and support them.
